Cyclist Dehqan Tops Thai Tournament

Iranian cyclist Mandana Dehqan stood at first place at the Masters Tour of Chiang Mai in Ladies Open section in Thailand.

Dehqan joined the UAE’s women’s cycling team Al Asayl in October, becoming the first-ever Iranian woman cyclist to join a foreign club. The Thai event marked the first time she was cycling for the foreign team at an international event where she finished with a gold medal.

Masters Tour was held in four stages and Dehqan, showing a good performance at all the stages, finalized her first place with a time record of 5 hours, 59 minutes and 30 seconds, Varzesh 3 reported.

During the annual event, cyclists covered the distance of 210 km with a total vertical climb of 2,150 meters in four days starting Oct. 20.
