Neymar, the Brazilian star of Paris Saint-Germain, is reportedly up for a 3 million euro ($3.5m) bonus if he scoops the Ballon d’Or.
Having reached the podium in 2015, Neymar is many people’s favorite to challenge the duopoly of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi with his top three spot in this year’s The Best awards already assured, Marca reported.
In August, the French club purchased the 25-year-old Neymar from Barcelona. The transfer was done with a world-record of $263 million fee.
The winger has a bonus clause in his contract worth $3.5m for every Ballon d’Or he wins at PSG until his existing deal expires in 2022.
