Blind Judoka Wins Gold in Uzbek Event

Iranian heavyweight visually-impaired judoka Mohammad Reza Kheirollahzadeh received a gold medal in the International Blind Sports Federation Judo World Cup in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, October 5-10.
Competing in the +100 kg category, Kheirollahzadeh defeated rivals from Uzbekistan and Brazil and advanced to the final stage, IRNA reported.
In the final match he overpowered a rival from the UK and took the gold.
Tashkent Grand Prix 2017 was underway from October 8 to 10.
