A local startup ‘Nazarbin’ (meaning comment reviewer), which provides Persian-language website owners with comment monitoring and moderation services has made a splash.

The service, available through nazarbin.com, was launched in February and so far has reviewed, passed, edited or blocked over 58 million comments, local technology website Webna reported.

The system reviews the visitors’ comments based on the website’s policies. Comments and contents deemed offensive is removed. Undesired ads posted by users are also deleted.

According to the company website, the platform aims to help online businesses to easier moderate users’ comments.

Users are provided with three monthly packages, namely Basic, Professional and Special, priced from 600,000 to 5 million rials ($15 to $125). Subscribers are provided with a 14-day trial use.

This is not the first time a local company is offering such services. Comment Miner is another Iranian online comment moderation tool. According to its website commentminer.com, the system removes rude or abusive comments automatically. Moreover, it analyzes readers’ comments and provides the website owner with periodic reports on audience engagement.
