Elecomp 2016 to Run on Themes

The pavilions of the International Exhibition of Electronics, Computers and e-Commerce (Elecomp) will be ready by November 21 and priority is given to companies that registered first, the spokesperson of the executive committee said on Monday.

Baqer Bahri added that companies are designated to areas matching themes in the exhibition, which are a key component of this year’s event, ICT Press reported.

“We were 60% successful in organizing each hall with a certain theme last year, we hope to improve the issue this year,” he said.

“For companies exhibiting again, we have made an effort to provide them with the same booth as in last year.”

The official also said that a new section (Hall B38) has been designated to the government this year, which is larger than the one dedicated to e-government projects last year.

“We are eager to see the latest achievements of the government in the areas of information technology and communications this year,” he said.

Video games are also playing an important role in this year’s event where Internet-based businesses are located in the Elecomp Stars exhibition.

Bahri said he has negotiated with Iran’s Computer and Video Games Foundation to set up a separate section for companies active in the gaming industry.

The 22nd edition of Elecomp will be held from December 15 to 18 at Tehran’s International Permanent Fairground in the north of the capital.
