A new website has gone online allowing people to create a mobile application for all of the three major smartphone platforms, Webna reports.
The first-of-a-kind application, developed entirely indigenously and in the Persian language, transforms a standard website into a full-fledged mobile application.
The process has a four-step program and works off a desktop website's RSS links, from that the application is created and can be downloaded for testing purposes. The group, App Wizard, entered the mobile application business six years ago developing programs for different users but has only now released the online program to let people try their hand at this burgeoning industry.
Iran's local applications sector has been growing by leaps and bounds in recent years, with festivals in Shiraz, Tabriz and other major cities.
In addition to the buzz around applications, Tehran now plays host to 4 accelerator programs which invest seed funding to small startup companies wishing to develop their applications and online business.
