Online Sales Network Helps Plug Handicrafts of Undeveloped Areas

A domestic innovative company has designed an online sales network to promote the handicrafts created by people in Iran’s undeveloped areas

An innovative company has designed an online sales network to promote the handicrafts created by people in Iran’s undeveloped areas.

Aranick is the first specialized website for selling Iranian handicrafts of undeveloped regions, according to the CEO of Araye-Nik Hezar Dastan Innovative Company.

“Sites and blogs have been selling handicrafts before the development of Aranick, but they were limited to one field, or specific fields of handicrafts. But Aranick sells handicrafts from all provinces of Iran, with a focus on lesser-known handicrafts,” Narges Shayeq Borujani was also quoted as saying by the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.

According to the CEO, the main purpose of this website is to introduce handicrafts from undeveloped areas and create a market for them.

“Aranick is a website based on a warehouse wherein the buyer and creator of handicraft can interact. The handicrafts are not sold directly by their creators, but are purchased from the creators by the company since they require quality assessment, an identity card and a brand,” she said.

Borujani noted that the activity of this company is not limited to the Iranian market and Aranick has exported handicrafts to France, Germany, China, Canada, Australia, Italy and Switzerland.

“One of the main challenges in exporting products is the lack of a foreign bank portal. For this reason, the products are wholesaled to foreign customers for them to retail on their own platform,” she said.

She considered creating demand for handicrafts and similar products the most important challenge in this field.

“Innovative industries are not among the basic needs of people; the economy should be in a way that people are inclined to seek handicrafts,” she added.

Borujani said the company has created 11 direct jobs, but about 2,500 people are indirectly working to identify little-known handicrafts of undeveloped areas and supply them to the market.

    System Builder for Businesses

A domestic knowledge-based company has produced a system builder to help businesses and organizations reduce their operational costs and increase efficiency.

System Saz Ario (Ario System Builder) is a tool for developing customized systems to ease commercial and administrative operations, according to the CEO of Rasaneh Saz Company.

“The system builder helps develop information systems according to the needs and type of the entity at the lowest possible cost and time,” Borzou Naderlouei was also quoted as saying by the news portal of Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.

“Form and Report Generator, Business Intelligence, Business Process Management Systems, Rule Engine and Security Service are among the main parts of this system builder,” he added.

Naderlouei noted that the system builder provides easy-to-use controls, offers reliable operational facilities, reduces production time and increases the quality of operations.

He stated that System Saz helps produce a customized system to meet the needs of a business or organization, facilitates the expansion and upgrading of operations, and eases the monitoring and optimization of all operations.

“Identifying the bottlenecks of organizational processes, making modifications, identifying opportunities, improving related processes to increase customer satisfaction and enhancing the coordination and speed of the processing cycle are other advantages of this software,” he said.

“Increasing the flexibility of the system to meet all the needs of users, not depending on isolated systems, fully matching the software with the needs of the organization, integrating with other information systems, reducing production costs, extending support and handling purchases are also made possible by the system builder.”

The CEO of the knowledge-based company stated that the software prevents the entry of duplicate information and redundant data in different parts of the business or organization, and also helps produce an unlimited number of systems.

Naderlouei noted that 10 direct jobs have been created in this knowledge-based company.

    Warehouse Management Software

A domestic knowledge-based company has developed a warehouse management software that helps optimize inventory processes and eases production, in addition to providing inventory information crucial for the smooth functioning of a production line.

“The management of warehouse inventory are vital for controlling the processes of supply, production, sales and maintenance,” said a member of the Board of Directors of Behineh Sazan Etelaat Pouya Company.

“The knowledge-based warehouse management software can prevent potential losses [in production lines and warehouses] to a considerable extent,” Bahareh Shoaibi was also quoted as saying by the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.

Warehousing operations include inventory control, product placement, order registration and accounting of raw materials and products. Handling these activities manually will not only be time-consuming, but could also give rise to human errors.

“For instance, by monitoring how many products are in the processes of production, sale, warehousing, delivery, etc., at any given moment, this software will prevent any likely interruption of production,” she added.

The company’s official noted that the warehouse management software is easy to use and does not require specialized training.

“The software can be installed on mobile phones, Windows and Mac, and improves the speed and accuracy of production lines and warehousing,” she said.

Bahareh stressed that the domestic software is much cheaper than foreign counterparts.

“Unlike what most people expect [that this software will destroy job opportunities], the production of this software has created more jobs and made warehousing online and fast,” she said.
