    Domestic Laserjet Printer Niftier, Cost-Competitive

    A domestic knowledge-based company has produced a laserjet printer with very high accuracy and durability  

    A knowledge-based company has produced a laserjet printer with higher accuracy and durability.

    A laserjet printer is used to print various specifications on documents and packaging materials of different sizes with high quality, according to the CEO of the Aryan Behrang Siyah Qalam Company.

    “Inkjet printers use ink, but laserjet printers use light beams,” Asadollah Golestani was also quoted as saying by the news portal of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.

    “By concentrating light at one point, the intensity of the beam increases and information is engraved on the product by using this concentrated beam,” he said.

    “Laserjet printers usually do not use consumables such as cartridges and print by burning a thin layer on the surface of the product with the help of lasers. And this reduces cost and produces higher quality prints.”

    He emphasized that the inkjet printer raises a lot of dirt around the product, but the laserjet printer does not have this problem.

    The company’s CEO stressed that since laserjet printers have higher accuracy, they print data with minimal errors and because of its durability, its additional costs are very low.

    “The ability to print a variety of shapes, logos and prints is one of the positive features of the domestic device. It can print on plastic, glass, tile, ceramic, stone, natural and artificial leather and various wooden surfaces,” he said.

    Priced one-eighth lower than its foreign counterparts, the Iranian device is exported to Iraq, the UAE, Turkey, Tajikistan and Georgia.

    Golestani noted that the production of this device has created nearly 60 direct jobs.

     

     

    Image-Processing System

    Another domestic knowledge-based company has produced a speedy image-processing system for printed and handwritten forms and texts.

    The CEO of Arman Derakhshan Paya Company said the image processing system can accelerate the processing of forms and texts, especially in Persian.

    “Answer sheet correction, mark and number reader based on modern technology and in Persian are made possible by this system, which help users read all kinds of answer sheets, surveys, psychometric questionnaires, forms, election ballots, etc.,” Farbod Razzazi was also quoted as saying by the news portal of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.

    The system, which helps users process and read texts, numbers or handwritten letters in tests and save the information in Excel software or in texts, could be used in many industries and businesses.

    The CEO noted that the reproduction of the image processing system in Persian and the development of this technology are based on indigenous knowhow.

    “The production of this knowledge-based system has prevented currency outflow, as it made the purchase of foreign counterparts unnecessary,” he added.

    Razzazi noted that 50 jobs have been created in this domestic company.

     

     

    CNC Precision Cutting Machine 

    A domestic knowledge-based company has designed and produced a computer numerical control (CNC) precision cutting machine with a lower price compared with foreign counterparts.

    Precision cutting machines are among major pieces of equipment used in a variety of industries and fields.

    “CNC design and manufacturing devices are complex and vital machines used in most industries. We have strived to expand our activities in this sector and produce Iranian knowledge-based products,” said Mehdi Mehdipour Aqa-Baqer, CEO of Sadrafan Gostar Machine Tool and Automation Technology Development Company.

    Many molds and industrial parts or models are first designed in 3D using software and then produced by CNC machines. 

    The Iranian company produces different kinds of CNC machines that are employed in academic environments and different industries. Its products are being used in dozens of prestigious Iranian universities, including Isfahan University of Technology, Iran University of Science and Technology and Tarbiat Modares University.

    Young engineers of these universities learn the techniques of operating these machines, which comply with international standards.

    The company has also produced related software and electronic controllers.

    The small- and medium-scale industrial devices of this company are used to produce all kinds of industrial molds, models, works of art and engravings.

    A CNC machine, for instance, has the mechanical software for producing dental crowns or implants.

    Currently, foreign counterparts are sold at 25-30 billion rials ($82,000-98,000), but the Iranian company is able to produce the domestic machine with a lower price and competitive performance.
