A domestic knowledge-based company has developed a quantum random number generator (QRNG), which remains the exclusive domain of a few countries, for the first time in Iran.
QRNG is used in the fields of information security, financial security and computing. All digital systems employing encryption algorithms for any purpose, from simple alarm systems to computers and servers of sensitive centers, use a random number generation process or system as encryption key generator.
The domestic device produced by Farhikhtegan Hami-e Elm Va Sanat Company generates a high rate of quantum random numbers by using laser phase noise, which are conveyed to users through standard communication mechanisms, the news portal of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology reported.
Generating random numbers with an unpredictable pattern is crucial in sensitive communication systems.
In systems based on quantum cryptography, QRNG is used as the main core of data production related to cryptography. If quantum cryptographic systems use classical sources of random number generation, they will suffer from security weakness and flaws, and make the systems vulnerable to attacks.
The device is used in research departments related to the development of quantum technologies and biotech applications.
QRNG can be used in encryption systems, neural network calculations, one-time password generation and for unpredictable quantum resources. It is necessary for banks to produce unpredictable codes, for military centers to create codes in border and war communication systems, for research centers to perform simulations close to reality and for academic centers and biological and physical research institutes and various institutions that need to obtain real random numbers.
The quantum random number generator is considered the first industrial product in the field of quantum technology in West Asia and a truly secure random generator in the country, providing data security in post-quantum encryption systems and generating random numbers at a rate of 500 megabits per second.

Mahmoudi said by visiting an organization or enterprise, the company examines their services, production line and industrial processes to collect essential data that can be used to improve their efficiency and productivity.
From the moment a client enters an electricity company, for instance, every essential data and information, including the process of registering a request, providing services and collecting payment, are collected.
The company then analyzes the data and information in detail to identify all important problems and prepares the most effective configuration for optimizing the process to the benefit of both the client and the company. This is used for customizing the system and software required by that company.
