Speedy Image-Processing System, Industrial Software Developed

Domestic knowledge-based companies have developed a speedy image-processing system and an efficient industrial simulation software

A domestic knowledge-based company has produced a speedy image-processing system for printed and handwritten forms and texts.

The CEO of Arman Derakhshan Paya Company pointed out that the image processing system can accelerate the precise processing of forms and texts, especially in Persian.

“Answer sheet correction, mark and number reader based on modern technology and in Persian are made possible by this system, which help users read all kinds of answer sheets, survey and psychometric questionnaires, forms, election ballots, etc.,” Farbod Razzazi was also quoted as saying by the news portal of Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology.

The system, which helps users to process and read texts, numbers or handwritten letters in tests and save the information in Excel software or in texts, could be used in many industries and businesses.

The CEO noted that the reproduction of the image processing system in Persian and the development of this technology are based on indigenous knowhow.

“The production of this knowledge-based system has prevented a currency outflow, as it made the purchase of foreign counterparts unnecessary,” he added.

Razzazi noted that 50 jobs have been created in this domestic company.

    Industrial Simulation Software Developed

A knowledge-based company has developed an efficient industrial simulation and modeling software that reduces losses by analyzing and detecting defects in industrial machinery that require periodic inspections to ensure their efficient performance.

“The software helps conduct project analysis and simulation based on computer codes and foresees the behavior of structures,” Ehsan Chavoshi, a member of the Board of Directors of Sharif Simulation Company, was quoted as saying by the news portal of Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology.

Optimizing advanced engineering systems and using numerical simulation are one of the new methods for designing machinery in various industries.

Software simulation is also used in petrochemical, refinery, automotive and other industries.

The domestic system allows troubleshooting in virtual space, which helps reduce production and maintenance costs of machines.

Chavoshi noted that 15 jobs have been created directly in this knowledge-based company and its software has helped save a significant amount of currency outflow by preventing the import of foreign counterparts.

Knowledge-Based Firm Develops Portable Meteorological System

A knowledge-based company has developed a portable agricultural meteorological system to meet the country’s needs in the field.

Currently, engineering sciences related to agriculture and food industry are much more sophisticated than in the past, according to the CEO of Yazd Electronics Engineering Company.

“Fields such as the Internet of Things, electronic engineering and data analysis, and satellites play a key role in this industry, and the company has focused on these fields,” Vali Kamali Moghaddam was also quoted as saying by the news portal of Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology.

“One of the products of this company is the production of meteorological stations for agriculture, which provide farmers with the necessary data as per the global standards of agricultural meteorology,” he added.

In general, the agro meteorological system is used to forecast weather and crop yield accurately and control the physical environment as far as possible. The latter consists of predicting frost and drought, growing windbreaks, adopting flood control measures and modifying temperature and humidity in fields and greenhouses.

Moghaddam said the sensors embedded in these portable stations are produced domestically. He added that a platform has also been produced to convert the information of these meteorological stations into understandable and easy data.

For instance, through this platform, the farmer is told what is the best time to harvest or spray pesticide, according to the system’s forecast of weather, humidity and temperature.

“The knowledge-based company has also designed a cheaper product for smaller farms of one or two hectares, which shows basic and essential data such as temperature and humidity, by eliminating more detailed features,” he added.

Moghaddam said the company has also designed a monitoring system used in greenhouses and chicken farms, which measures parameters such as carbon monoxide, ammonia, temperature and humidity.

“This information is very important for the owner of these units, as it helps save resources such as water and fertilizers in greenhouses, and prevents serious losses in poultry farms,” he added.

Currently, several advanced knowledge-based companies are active in the fields of agricultural engineering, such as agricultural satellites and the Internet of Things.
