A knowledge-based company has developed modules and related apps for smart home operations that save a significant amount of energy.
These remote-control modules help users supervise different electrical devices in a smart house remotely and play a fundamental role in reducing electricity consumption, the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology reported.
The smart building or smart house operations are used to monitor different parts and devices, as well as all areas of a building. In addition, the app helps regulate lighting, temperature and moisture in a house or office by connecting to devices such as air-conditioners and lighting systems to save energy and reduce costs.
The domestic smart house app, produced by Borna Pooyesh Sazan Hooshmand Ariaee Company, is linked up with lighting, cooling and heating systems, electrical equipment and main entrance door.
The remote-control module can set up a schedule for all applications, apart from making automatic adjustment of a room’s lighting and providing higher security for children.
Controlling all kinds of electronic appliances and air-conditioners such as swamp coolers, splits and fans, as well as appliances like ovens, washing machines and pressure cookers are among the other advantages of this domestic application.
By producing high-quality products at a price lower price than its foreign counterparts, the company has prevented a significant currency outflow needed for importing foreign models.
According to the latest data released by the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, the number of knowledge-based companies has currently exceeded 7,300, which are mainly active in the fields of information and communications technologies, computer software, electrical and electronic hardware, laser and photonics.
Smart AI Speaker Developed
A domestic knowledge-based company has developed a smart artificial intelligence speaker via reverse engineering.
The smart AI assistance speaker helps meet organizational and household needs, according to the CEO of Pooyesh Taradeh Company.
“The smart speaker, which is an AI voice assistant and secretary, can be installed at home or work, and link up with the central server through the internet,” Mosayeb Mirani was also quoted as saying by the news portal of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology.
Users may type all commands in a search engine and the speaker will deliver the accurate result.
For instance, the device provides updates on the daily rates of foreign currencies and gold coins, weather conditions and daily news.
Apart from playing one’s favorite music, the device can adjust the room temperature, turn on or off the lights and change the direction of home security cameras if it is connected to the smart home system and the appliance supports smart home features.
Voice assistant technology is expanding in the world and it is predicted to soon become an integral part of managing workplaces and driving cars.
The knowledge-based company is active in the fields of artificial intelligence, computer and electronics, but the main focus is to produce foreign hardware and software domestically. Reverse engineering of devices and services related to emerging technologies helps achieve this objective.
By establishing the Foresight Department and the Department for Innovation and Commercialization, the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology is helping use emerging technologies domestically to be able to compete with foreign counterparts.
Another product of this company is a device that helps use an injection via radiation, without having to struggle with the traditional method for detecting the patient’s vein.
Noting that the product portfolio of this knowledge-based company is diverse, Mirani said solving problems and responding to the needs of different domestic departments and institutions are among the important goals of innovative and knowledge-based companies.
“We have set up a research and development unit that provides the necessary data and equipment for employing emerging technologies and developing smart products through reverse engineering,” he said.
Multitasking Paperless Recorder
A domestic knowledge-based company has designed and produced a paperless recorder with a price advantage over foreign counterparts.
Arman Fara Pajoohan Company’s CEO Somayeh Khademol-Hosseini explained that the paperless recorder could record, store and analyze all types of signals and data for an unlimited period of time.
“All the recorded information can be seen on the recorder’s screen and by connecting a USB drive, users can take a backup in the Excel format. Therefore, all the information and data recorded by the device can be transferred to the computer,” she added.
Khademol-Hosseini noted that as the recorder supports all commonly used mathematical functions and formulas, users can write a program for this recorder and customize the device as per their business needs.
“Admin users can change the device’s accessibility level that specifies which users can change and have new settings, or use different features of the device in a company,” she added.
The possibility of reviewing the recorded data and information, writing formulas and complex equations to process signals, and the ability to display graphs digitally are among some of the most important features of the domestic paperless recorder.
Also, the possibility of connecting it to various types of thermocouples that measure thermos-resistance, milliamperes, voltage, frequency and resistance, that protect electromotors, transformers and turbines, and devices that display, record and control industrial processes, is among the other capabilities of this device.
The CEO of the knowledge-based company said the measurement of fluid flow, conductivity and oxygen using zirconium oxide sensors and linearization of non-linear sensors are also possible with this reorder.
Khademol-Hosseini explained that the domestic recorder is about 150 million rials cheaper than foreign counterparts, while providing the same features, capabilities and experience to users.
The company has created about 20 direct jobs, in addition to indirect employment.
“Meeting domestic needs was the company’s most important achievement after the production of this device,” she said.
