A domestic knowledge-based Khezal Ramzineh Saz Asayesh Cooperatives Company has produced an explosion-proof jet fan that can be used in various industries.
The presence of inflammable gases and dust are a concern in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, as well as in underground coal mining.
To prevent any explosion and other possible dangers, explosion-proof jet fans are used, which are widely used in industrial and mining sectors, the news portal of Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology reported.
In various industries, especially oil, the presence of gases, vapors and explosive dust is inevitable. Whether during repairs and clean-up of equipment, proper ventilation allows manpower to enter places such as chemical warehouses and battery rooms where there is a constant emission of gases.
In coal mines, ventilation is a top priority for workers. Due to the need for safe ventilation to prevent explosions in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, as well as in underground mines, these jet engines are of great importance.
Although this product has foreign counterparts, its quality matches that of European samples and is priced 50% cheaper.
Reliable after-sales services and warranty, as well as flexibility in customizing the product design to suit specific conditions, are the most important competitive advantages of the domestic fan.
Directly, 15 people are working full- and part-time in this knowledge-based company.
Because many parts are also outsourced, at least 60 indirect workers are involved in the production of these products.
With the increase in the volume of orders, the company can provide direct employment for 100 full-time workers.
More than 95% of the customers of this product are the public sector and large industries. The market for this product and other knowledge-based products will expand even more, if Iranian companies buy products from domestic producers instead of importing them.
This knowledge-based product has entered the market with the approval of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology and it can also compete in international markets.
Multifunction Transducer
A knowledge-based company has designed and manufactured a multifunction transducer that can be used to monitor the power grid in small and large industrial complexes.
“In digital devices, especially digital measuring devices, one of the most important concerns is how to deal with an analog quantity,” Mohammad Reza Hashemi, CEO of Farayand Niroopardaz Company, said.
Hashemi pointed out that the multifunction transducer is based on the latest electronic technology.
The main function of transducers is to convert one type of energy into another. There is no limit to the type of energy, as they convert each of the electrical, chemical, mechanical and thermal forms of energy.
Transducers are one of the main equipment in industrial electrical automation systems that can be used to monitor power grid parameters and convert them into standard signals.
Electrical parameters of this transducer are calculated after the conversion to a digital signal. These quantities are stored instantly in the system’s memory and can be recalled or applied to current or voltage analog outputs after digital selection by all isolated analog-to-analog converters.
Online network monitoring features, measurement of more than 120 electrical parameters of the power grid, remote measurement capability, 2 kV isolation between all parts and four isolated analog current and voltage outputs are among the special features of this domestic transducer.
It offers protection against short-circuit, measures total voltage, one- or two-way frequency, tolerates transient inputs up to several times the nominal values, has an internal clock equipped with a backup battery and a solar calendar with detectability, synchronization with location systems and occupies a small space.
“Knowledge-based companies need to enjoy benefits such as tax breaks to boost domestic production,” Hashemi said, while noting that about 15 jobs have been created in the production process.
“The foreign counterpart of the multifunction transducer is priced 12-fold higher and not economical for domestic companies. For this reason and in order to prevent unnecessary imports, knowledge-based companies should be supported,” he added.
Domestic Ultrasonic Water Meter Marked by High Efficacy, Low Price
A knowledge-based company has designed a smart water meter with very high accuracy and additional features to replace mechanical meters.
“The ultrasonic smart water meter has higher accuracy than traditional mechanical meters,” Abolfazl Jan Fada, CEO of knowledge-based Be Saaz-e-Energy Company, said.
In a housing unit under construction, a water meter is installed on the inlet pipe and another on the outlet pipe so that the difference between incoming and outgoing water is measured to calculate the amount of hot water consumed.
Using this product, it is possible to measure the consumption of water and thermal energy in different parts of the building to calculate the water and gas bills of each housing unit, as well as in the industrial sector.
The meter measures fluid velocity, instantaneous and volumetric flow, direction of water movement, meter operation time and water temperature.
The lifespan of this meter is 2-3 times that of mechanical meters and due to its very small measurement error, it helps the customer pay the real water bill.
With this product, the water flow can be turned off for a consumer who exceed the consumption pattern, or refuses to pay the water bill.
This meter is marketed at a lower price, which can compete with similar European models.
The software and hardware of this product have been designed by the company’s workforce and direct employment has been created for 20 people.
