Tramadol, a weak, opioid analgesic, should be removed immediately from pharmacy shelves due to severe side effects associated with the drug, including seizures, said Hooman Narenjiha, an expert and researcher in the field of addiction.
“Tramadol tablet is addictive and causes convulsions. According to a survey conducted in Tehran pharmacies, medical prescription of the drug has declined significantly, but its OTC sale has increased,” IRNA quoted the expert as saying.
