Air pollution is costing Iran $8 billion annually with the toll on every family around $113, according to World Bank figures. Managing director of Tehran Vehicle Safety Inspection Headquarters Vali Azarvash said 3,700 people were suspected to have died of pollution-related illnesses in Tehran last year, ISNA reported.
