No Corporal Punishment

No Corporal PunishmentNo Corporal Punishment

There are no plans to legalize corporal punishment in schools. Culture deputy at the ministry of education Hamid Reza Kaffash said “there are no plans to physically discipline school children but new forms of disciplining will be introduced to discourage students from misbehavior.” Inflicting bodily pain on students is a despicable act, he said quoted by ISNA. While it might be effective in the short term, it will never address the problem in the long term.  Kaffash added that psychological studies should be conducted to determine “what methods of disciplining, and what kinds of incentives will work better for students.”
