The Department of Environment (DoE) will spare no efforts to crackdown on motor vehicles that are causing air pollution. Head of DoE Masoumeh Ebtekar said induction of euro 4 standards and phasing out sub-standard fuel has been successfully implemented and all vehicles that do not measure up to these standards will not be registered, ILNA reported. She added that the same rule will be applied to aging cars and the department has plans to encourage the use of public transport.
