Needy patients with terminal illnesses will receive special assistance with the help of charitable donations. Planning deputy at Tehran University of Medical Sciences Dr. Mahmoud Biglar said a special card will be issued for these patients by which they can receive medical care and medicines at lower rates. Donations by charities have been steady and “are still coming in from various public and private organizations.” He added donations from ordinary citizens are also collected under the ‘Milad’ plan, which covers needy patients as well.
