The emergency needs of Iranians living abroad are met by the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation (IKRF). The international deputy at IKRF said the charity foundation “works with the High Council of Iranians and cultural and political offices of Iran in foreign countries” to provide help to expats “who are in urgent and pressing need of assistance.” Mohammad Mohammadi Fard added that the foundation supports people including those who have families in Iran in need of care, and also Iranian women who marry foreigners, but encounter problems later, reports ISNA.
