Two police officers, a constable as well as two civilians were killed, and three policemen were injured in Saturday night’s exchange of fire during an armed bank robbery in the town of Aligoodarz in Lorestan Province, Brigadier General Abdolreza Aghakhani, police chief of Isfahan Province said. The robbers are said to be in the province and security measures have been beefed up to prevent their escape. He urged the people to stay calm while the police continue their efforts to arrest the criminals, reports ILNA.
