Wildlife population is shrinking at an alarming rate with Asiatic Cheetahs as one of the species facing the threat of extinction. Ahamd Ali Keikha the natural affairs deputy at the Department of Environment said in a televised interview that ‘’only 100 Asiatic Cheetahs are left in the country,’’ ISNA reported. He said people are right to be worried since for instance in Khorasan Razavi Province the species has declined to 600 from 3600 in the previous years and warned that “the same thing is happening in Golestan Forests.”
