Pneumococcal vaccine is being introduced in the National Immunization Program by the end of the Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2015), said Rasoul Dinarvand, head of Food and Drug Administration.
At present pneumococcal vaccine is administered to some individuals with special needs. But the plan to introduce it under the free vaccination program has been adopted recently, Young Journalist Club (YJC) news agency reported.
