Help for Needy School Kids

In preparation for the new academic year (starts September 23), the State Welfare Organization has initiated a charity campaign to help children in low-income families prepare for school. The program “Kind Heart” began on September 12 and will run until October 7. It seeks to supply stationery and school uniforms to 15,000 students supported by SWO, IRNA reported. SWO has called the people to donate to the cause through the website www.ghalbemehraban.ir or by dialing *733*30# on mobile phones. “It is estimated that 1.7 million rials ($45) is needed for purchasing stationary for each student,” Mohammad Ali Koozegar said.
