Eleven people were killed and 28 injured when a bus plunged into a ravine 100 meters deep on Tehran-Abali Road early on Tuesday. The incident took place near Jajrud District in Pardis County at about 2:30 am, ISNA reported. Firefighters and ambulances were dispatched from Tehran to help. The injured were taken to hospitals in the capital. The Volvo bus, carrying 37 passengers and two drivers, was travelling from Karaj in Alborz Province to Sari, the capital of Mazandaran Province. No further details were available.
