Researchers at a pharmaceutical company associated with Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute have gained access to the knowledge and expertise to produce three generic medicines.

The medicines, Dimethyl Fumarate, Deferasirox, and Mycophenolate Mofetil, are used in combating progressive relapsing multiple sclerosis, thalasemia, and transplant-rejection, head of the research, Dr. Morteza Shakeri said, ISNA reported.  Dimethyl Fumarate can treat PRMS by reducing the number of flare-ups as well as slowing the disease’s progression. It has passed clinical trials and will soon be available in the market.  Laboratory testing for the other two drugs are also complete, and the manufacturing company is now planning mass production.
