In preparation for the school season starting September 23, the Child Foundation’s Iran chapter has supplied 2,500 school backpacks to high-achieving students in underprivileged regions. The ‘Backpacks of Hope’ contain books, notebooks, school supplies, and in some cases clothes, director of public relations at the foundation, Hormat Nazeri said, Mehr News Agency reported. Each backpack cost about $75 and contains quality items purchased from Iranian manufacturers to help promote domestic brands, Nazeri said. The Child Foundation is an international organization founded in 1994, that helps poor children  remain in school. The children sponsored through the foundation’s programs are normally high achievers, orphans or children living in emergency situations.
