Iran Hepatitis Network plans to eliminate hepatitis C among haemophilia and thalassemia patients by 2020, Mo’ayyed Alavian, head of IHN said on the sidelines of the 7th International Tehran Hepatitis Conference on Wednesday.
According to the expert, about 200,000-300,000 people suffer from Hepatitis C in the country. Hemophiliacs, patients with thalassemia, patients on dialysis, and drug addicts are among high risk groups, ISNA reported.
