Nearly 500 drug addicts who have ‘recovered’ will be given employment by the end of the current year (March 20, 2015). Based on a joint effort by the Iran Drug Control Headquarters (IDCH) and Imam Reza Mehr Fund, Alireza Jazini deputy director of IDCH, said an agreement had been signed and 50 workshops and NGOs “will offer training and employment for all addicts upon their recovery,” ISNA reported. There has been a 73% increase in the number of NGOs in the area of drug prevention and education in the first eight months of the current year, he added.
