Warning on Road Mishaps

Iran Traffic Police chief, Mohammad Hossein Hamidi has warned about the high rate of road accidents during the final month of summer to September 22.  “Over the past few years this month has almost always recorded the highest number of road mishaps and casualties compared to other months of the year,” Mehr News Agency quoted him as saying.  As many as 1,254 people lost their lives in car accidents during the final month of summer in the last fiscal that ended in March, he said.  Many families travel during the last days of the summer holiday season and before schools reopen after the 3-month  annual break .
