Dental care services for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children younger than 14 years is free in small towns, according to a Health Ministry official.
According to Saeed Asgari, some 1,200 dental clinics offer free oral hygiene services across the country and all the services are completely free of charge in towns and villages with a population smaller than 20,000. Asgari described the scale of the services as “unprecedented” despite the low budget the ministry has at its disposal to spend in the oral health area.
