Infertility Treatment for the Needy

Charity organization Barakat Foundation is paying for infertility treatment to help couples in rural Ilam Province, according to a provincial health official. Ilam does not have a clinic that specializes in fertility treatment.  “The foundation refers the couples to treatment center in neighboring Kermanshah Province and pays the treatment expenses, including in vitro fertilization,” Pourandokht Abdollahi was quoted by YJC as saying. “Barakat pays the expenses until treatments produce the desired results.” Barakat is affiliated to the Setad, a special office for executing the decrees of the late Imam Khomeini in helping the underprivileged.
