Rise in Electric Shock Fatalities

During the first quarter of this fiscal (started in March), 21 residents of the capital died from electric shock, the Persian-language daily Shargh reported director general of Tehran’s Legal Medicine Organization Masoud Qadi-Pasha  as saying. The figure shows a 10.5% growth in the number of deaths from electrocution compared to the corresponding period last year (19 deaths). All the victims were male, he said adding that, in the fourth month of the year 9 other deaths from electric shocks were referred to the organization as well.
