New System for Hospital Appointment

The Social Security Organization has launched a new booking system to ease getting an appointment at its hospitals.

Speaking to the Persian-language daily Iran, Ali Moayeri, an official at SSO, said those seeking medical care can now dial a USSD code on their smartphones to make an appointment. The code is *4*1420#.

“Conventional means were not efficient anymore, given the large numbers of sick people,” he said.

The service has been launched in Fars, Alborz and Gilan provinces. It will be extended to  South Khorasan, Kurdestan, Isfahan, Semnan and Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari provinces by the end of the week.
