Four Iranian hajj pilgrims (three men and one woman) have lost their lives due to heart failure during the annual ritual.
Another four Iranians are in Saudi hospitals in Medina, one of them is in critical condition. In Mecca, five Iranians are being treated in hospitals and eight are in healthcare facilities set up by Iran’s Red Crescent Society, Mehr News Agency reported.
About 70 clinics are stationed in Mecca hotels where Iranians are staying. IRCS hospitals in Medina are also offering medical services to the pilgrims. This year’s hajj pilgrimage started on July 30 and will continue to August 25. Some 86,500 Iranians are performing the hajj this year.
