Flood Death Toll Rises

The death toll from flash floods in the north and northeast  rose to 13 on Monday, and five people are still missing in Golestan Province, according to Morteza Salimi, head of the Relief and Rescue Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society. IRCS teams have been providing relief services to residents since flash floods hit the provinces of Gilan, Golestan, North Khorasan, Khorasan Razavi, and Semnan in the past four days, Salamat News reported. IRCS teams also provided emergency shelter to 307 flood-stricken people, Salimi said.
