FDA Releases List of Banned Foods

Iran’s Food and Drug Administration has released a list of banned foods and drinks and urged the public to comply with the ban.

Moto energy drink, Azar Sonax lake salt, Exir wholemeal wheat and barley bread, Mr. Break Fast cornflakes, and Gilar refined olive oil are on the FDA ban list, the organization announced Tuesday on its website.

Jaryan-branded sohan (a traditional Iranian confectionary), Nargol Nazchenar black tea and Arabi nuts are also banned.  Consumers are advised to avoid buying the aforementioned products and report their sales via phone number 021-66405569.
