The 29th International Olympiad in Informatics hosted by Iran closed on Thursday and medals were awarded to 152 winners.  Japan emerged at the top with four gold followed by China and Russia. Iran participated with two teams that win one gold and eight silver medals at fourth place. Mohammad Hossein Nematollahi won the gold for Iran. A total of 26 gold medals, 50 silver and 76 bronze medals were given to winners from 84 countries, YJC reported.  As a token of support, the Iranian medal winners are allowed to enter their university of choice without taking the university entrance exam, or concour.
