Health Ministry and the Department of Environment have reached an agreement to improve sanitation, health and safety in the beaches in the northern provinces.
As per the agreement which will be implemented soon, inspectors from the ministry will monitor the quality of water, collection of trash, hygiene in food shops in the region, which comprises 175 swimming sites, ISNA reported.
Millions travel to the popular tourist attractions in the Caspian provinces of Mazandaran and Gilan, on weekends and holidays, and so the health issues of the region is of importance, namely the places where people go to swim should have standard microbial, chemical, physical features.
