Drop in Palm Oil Import

The volume of palm oil import has nearly halved since the beginning of the current fiscal in March, compared to corresponding period a year ago, a Food and Drug Administration official said on Wednesday.

According to Samireh Sabah, a deputy at the FDA, palm oil import has shrunk to 400,000 tons, down from 750,000 last year, the official FDA website reported.
