Informatics Olympiad

Iran is hosting the 29th International Olympiad in Informatics from July 28 to August 4 in Tehran. Between 300 and 320 contestants will take part in 85 teams from 84 countries. Two teams will represent Iran. According to Hamidreza Azemati, the Olympiad’s executive director, this round has the largest number of participants throughout the event’s history since 1989. A team of Palestinians is also participating for the first time. The event is organized by the Education Ministry.
