Plans to reduce pesticide use in agricultural products are currently underway and 10 commonly consumed products are presently being examined for their pesticide levels, an FDA official said, reports ISNA. Dr. Hedayat Hosseini said the results of the probe will be announced to the public soon. His remarks came in the wake of widespread reports on use of hormones to ripen tomatoes.
