Fewer Births

According to the National Organization for Civil Registration, the birth rate in the capital dropped by 1% in the last fiscal (March 2016-17), compared to the preceding year.  The office reported on its website that last year 202,925 births were registered, 2,000 fewer than the previous year. It was said that multiple births nearly doubled last year, with 133 cases of triplets, 16 cases of quadruplets, and 3 cases of quintuplets or more.
