Tax Exemption for Waste Management Schemes

Tax Exemption for Waste Management Schemes

The Department of Environment is preparing a bill that would scrap taxes on waste management schemes.  The proposal is aimed at creating economic incentives to encourage the private sector to invest in the sector, according to the DOE chief, Massoumeh Ebtekar, Mehr News Agency reported.  “Many industrial projects in Iran are given tax-exempt status but conservation projects must be a top priority,” she said.   Waste management is the process of treating solid wastes and offers a variety of solutions for recycling items that do not belong in the trash.
