The head of the Office of Curriculum Design and Educational Planning at the ministry of education announced that beginning from the next school year, performing arts such as theater and cinema will be officially included in ninth grade textbooks. Mohyeddin Bahram Mohammadian quoted by ISNA said musical and vocal education is also being considered to be taught in this grade. He added that the seventh grade already has a culture and art textbook with a focus on visual arts, calligraphy and music.
