Nearly 5000 square meters of Nahar-Khoran Forest Highlands in Gorgan county, Golestan Province, was affected by fires recently, said Rasoul Moghsem, head of the Forest, Range and Watershed Organization (FRWO). “The fire mostly burned autumn leaves and fortunately the trees didn’t sustain any damage,” Mehr News Agency quoted him as saying.One of the nicest stops in the country is the large forest tract of Nahar Khoran, about 7 km south of Gorgan.
