Decline in Traffic Fatalities

The rate of fatal traffic accidents in Tehran Province in the past fiscal (ended in March) reduced by 4.7% compared to the previous year, according to the Iran Legal Medicine Organization. Based on a report by the ILMO on Saturday, 1,156 people lost their lives in traffic collisions last year, which showed a 4.7% reduction compared with 1,213 in the year before. Out of the total, 981 were men and 175 women. Urban roads with 828 deaths accounted for the majority of the fatalities, while cross-city roads accounted for 325, Lmo.ir reported.
