In the past few days, the temperature has reached 56 degrees Celsius in some counties across the southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan Province including Rask, Sarbaz, Nikshahr, Qasr-e Qand, Kenarak, and Chabahar. The provincial Crisis Management Office held a meeting recently to review the situation, said Qolamreza Arbabi, head of the office. “So far there are no reports of fatalities but all hospitals are on alert to help the people,” affected by the heat wave, he said.
