More than one million first graders in 59,000 schools across the country will mark September 22 as school re-opening day, the education minister’s deputy announced. Ali Zarafshan told ISNA that all schools are now ready for the occasion. He added that as in previous years, President Hassan Rouhani will mark the day by attending the opening in a Tehran school. All schools re-open on September 23, but first graders usually mark the day, one day earlier.
