Early Intervention in Autism

Iran Autism Association provides educational and support services to 1,030 children in Tehran and 130 children in other provinces. The society aims to identify all kids living with autism in the country by the year 2025 and to expand services to more children to ensure successful transition of autistic children from childhood to adulthood. The association is the first NGO active in the field of providing educational services to autistic children. It was launched three years ago, Salamat News website reported. Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are often diagnosed when it is too late for intervention and imposes a great burden on society.
