Khuzestan Province has achieved the distinction of launching the best prevention programs for drug abuse, said deputy director at the Drug Control Headquarters Alireza Jazabni, during his visit to the southern city of Abadan. He added that ‘’prevention is the key in their efforts to fight addiction and the ‘Clean Khuzestan’ plan is now underway as a pilot project.” Later it will be extended to other provinces as well. He added that ‘’sports and related activities also can help prevent social maladies like drug abuse,” ISNA reported.
