Nearly 20 million calls have been made to the municipality’s emergency number since it was first launched, said Mostafa Feizi, head of policy and regulation at the Tehran Municipality. The top reason for the calls was to report obstructions on roads and pavements by vendors. He said in the current year, 41% of the calls were related to traffic issues, a 10% increase compared to the previous year, ISNA reported.
